Yeah, sorry to fans of anime character Seto Kaiba (I prefer Mokuba), but I'm using this account again to note that in defense of the Perry Como show, yeah, the commercials are bad, lousy, poorly made and unfunny. But in reality, the actual minutes of advertising are less than a comparable show made today on United States Network TV. Plus, the songs are great, "Silver and Gold" is a catchy, and the special guest, Hank Snow, is excellent and worth seeing.

I don't think any defense is necessary. This is what people saw on TV back then. Warts and all. That's the beauty of it.

These Perry Como shows, among the other pieces of their time, have been so helpful for me in my work. If anyone has any more to post, I'd gladly give a look.
